The sports science mini-lectures were born from a need to teach coaches and athletes how to apply sports science to their own coaching and training. We are passionate about coach education and sports performance. The lectures are easily digestible at 5 - 7 minutes in length.
The first episode of the mini-lecture series is on detraining. In essence you lose what you don't use! We go over how cardiovascular variables such as heart rate, cardiac output, and VO2 max change over time when athletes aren't training.
